For lots of us, this isnt the case and it can be a REAL struggle trying to decide whats best. In order to help you  work out what you want to do, we have gathered some of your options: Gain Experience If you really dont know what you want to do, its difficult to know where to begin. Gaining experience is a great way of testing the waters and seeing whats right for you. Its beneficial to do so in a broad role so that you can get a good insight into lots of different job roles. Even just shadowing different people can be really beneficial. It helps you get a good insight into what peoples job roles actually consist of. Keep Learning Do you enjoy learning? If you think you can handle an extra year of University, then do it!  Completing a masters is very impressive and can really benefit your career path. If you are no longer interested in your degree subject, complete a masters in a different field. This will open doors to lots of other opportunities. Have you considered training to be a teacher? If so, a PGCE (or equivalent) may be next in store for you. Before making any final decisions, make sure that a postgraduate course is definitely  the right option for you. Some courses can be quite costly so its best to avoid making any expensive mistakes. Take a Gap Year If you are really not sure what you want to do, dont just decide to do something for the sake of it. Taking a year out will enable you to take your time in deciding what it is you actually want to do. You may decide to go away and explore different countries or you may just decide to stay at home and start working on a project or business venture. Whatever it is that you decide to do, it doesnt matter that you havent got a job straight away, everyone is different and some of us just need that year out. If you do decide to go away, it might be worth taking part in some volunteering work or an internship. This will enable you to fill the gap on your CV with new skills and any additional experience. Consider a Grad Scheme If  you really enjoyed what you studied at University, a grad scheme might be for you. Grad schemes are great opportunities for those of you who want to enter the world of employment but dont feel quite ready to set off on your own yet.  The duration can range from a few months to a couple of years and often lead to a permanent job. Grad Schemes are great ways of learning and developing your skills whilst earning money. It might be worth looking at your dream company to see whether they have any opportunities. Grad schemes are the perfect starting points, especially if you want to work your way up in a big company.
